We're giving Peterborough a green clean! To celebrate the upcoming deposit return system for bottles and cans in England, we've organised four litter picking events in the city. We hope you can join us!

Farm Hall Godmanchester

We had luck on our side with the weather for this evening event in the grounds of our Vice-President Christopher Vane Percy, Island hall at Godmanchester.  Over 70 people attended and enjoyed wine, canapés and a stroll around the grounds over-looking the famous Portholme Meadow.

There were interesting talks from Christopher about the house and its history, from David Hufford on the history of Portholme and from Dr. Pat Doody on the natural history importance of Portholme.

As well as raising awareness of the issues CPRE is grappling with locally, we are pleased to say that we raised over £2,400 which will help with our campaigns.
