By becoming a member, you will add to our influence and strengthen our voice. You will receive a colourful and informative magazine - Countryside Voice - twice a year have half price entry to over 200 houses and gardens have access to the Membership only section of the national website have access to PlanningHelp for information on planning matters and be a member of the Branch. • The Branch provides advice and information, publishes an occasional newsletter and offers opportunities for volunteering. To Join, please go here. We welcome membership from Parish and Town Councils. Sixty have already joined. A parish (or town) council membership offers a range of benefits and services that will help you serve your community more effectively. You will receive the national Fieldwork newsletter which keeps you up to date with new developments affecting the countryside and helps you draw on the valuable experience of council and communities in other parts of England. You will also have access to the Planning Hotline and the PlanningHelp website. And you will have the benefits of Branch membership (apart from half price entry to selected houses and gardens). These are some of the areas for which we are seeking help. • Reading planning documents and discussing with committee members appropriate responses. • Assisting in the running of workshops (on planning applications, hedgerow maintenance) • Manning displays at environmental exhibitions, county and village shows. • Representing the Branch at local authority consultative meetings • Assisting with the organisation of the Annual General Meeting. • Distribution of branch literature to members.
