CPRE Cambridgeshire and Peterborough was very pleased to learn that one of our trustees, Prof. Tony Booth, who is also a trustee and a founding member of Friends of the Cam, has achieved selection as a candidate for the post of Chancellor of Cambridge University.
Tony’s 500 word Statement expressing why he has put himself forward for this demanding post is provided here.
Tony’s Statement represents many of the values and objectives of CPRE in the protection of the environment and the need to reduce our impacts on the climate upon which all our lives depend.
For those eligible members of Cambridge University amongst our membership who may wish to vote for Tony, registration for online voting has now passed but you can still vote in person.
Details of voting arrangements can be found here: https://www.cam.ac.uk/about-the-university/how-the-university-and-colleges-work/people/chancellor/election-of-the-next-chancellor/how-to-vote
